\u00a0Christian motherhood demands a complete giving of everything for the physical and spiritual formation of her children in the home. No one has unending love and self abandon within themself. Instead, they must be constantly nourished and sustained by the infinite source of living water that only Christ can give, himself.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong>What is the Confraternity of Christian Mothers?<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Confraternity of Christian Mothers was founded in Lille, France, in 1850, designed to help wives and mothers combat the forces undermining family life. \u00a0The Confraternity meets once a month for Holy Mass, Confession, Adoration and a spiritual talk under the direction of the parish priest. Under the special patronage of the \u201cMother of Sorrows\u201d the members are encouraged in the important task of training and sanctifying the young souls entrusted to their care.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong>What is the goal of the Confraternity of Christian Mothers?<\/strong><\/p>\n

The goals of the confraternity are to receive graces through regular focused access to the powerhouse tools of the Church and uniting in prayer with mothers around the world and to instruct and inspire mothers in performing their duties and in practicing virtue. It strives to form the mothers in the knowledge of the faith, impress on them the importance of motherhood, inflame them with ardent zeal, and show them the way of attaining their own sanctification and that of their families.<\/p>\n

\u00a0Who can join the Confraternity of Christian Mothers?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Any Catholic woman, married or widow, with or without children, old and young alike. Once enrolled, you are a member for life enjoying its many benefits during life and especially at death.
